The days of managing 40 different vendors are over. Before 2020, revenue cycle management was fragmented: One vendor for billing, one for enrollment, one for collections. Today? Health systems want simplicity. As hospitals consolidated, so did their vendor expectations. They're tired of coordinating dozens of relationships when margins are shrinking and resources are stretched thin. The new mandate: Find fewer vendors who can own entire segments of your RCM. This shift killed companies that refused to adapt. "But we're really good at this one thing," they said. The market responded: "That's not enough anymore." Today marks 16 years at RSi RCM. What was a team of about 20 people when I joined has grown into an organization of 700+ strong. I’m incredibly proud to have been part of that journey - from those early days when Paul A Reardon and Donnie Durant gave me an opportunity, to today where I get to serve as COO and help lead an incredible team. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of working for and alongside some exceptional leaders - Brent Rollins, John Baker, Dustin Spencer, Terry Johnson, Lorie Bush, Estelle Barnes, Jude Crowell, Jennifer Evans, and so many others who’ve helped shape this company into what it is today. The growth, innovation, and client success we’ve experienced wouldn’t be possible without their vision, partnership, and grit. But what makes this place truly special is the people - the ones who show up every day committed to doing great work, solving tough problems, and pushing us all forward - all while having a lot of fun and prioritizing our core values and culture. It’s officially halftime. July 1 marks the start of Q3—and for us at RSi, it’s not just a date on the calendar. It’s a gut-check. What did Q1 and Q2 remind our Leadership Team in our recent mid-year "all hands" meeting? That we don’t need more goals. We need more clarity. That we already have all the tools in the toolbox that we need for today. That momentum matters more than perfection. That intentional communication - not just faster or louder communication - delivers the strongest results. That our people thrive when we make space for candor, courage, accountability, and autonomy. One of our "RSi-isms" (business processes) is CAFE: Clarity, Alignment, Focus, and Execution. Recently, a group of supervisors in our Debt Collection team built a powerful presentation for their teams all about CAFE - so good of a presentation that they've gone on an internal "road show" to share it. Essentially, we have the capacity to train ourselves to look for opportunity in every interaction. By focusing on solutions, we cultivate a winner's mindset that drives success. But it all starts with clarity. So we’re moving into Q3 with even tighter focus, sharper execution, and one loud reminder: Clarity - in communication, mindset, and capacity.
