We are thrilled to announce that as of July 1, RIVER VALLEY COUNSELING CENTER, INC (RVCC) is now a member organization of ServiceNet. River Valley Counseling Center, established in 1953, provides high quality mental health treatment in Hampden and Hampshire counties. These include outpatient clinics in Holyoke, Chicopee, Easthampton, Springfield, and Westfield; services for students in dozens of schools and universities throughout the region. As a member organization of ServiceNet, the two agencies are now sharing our knowledge, experience, and infrastructure as well as our values. And together, we are already looking at ways to provide even greater access to mental health treatment for the people we serve throughout western Massachusetts. ??The move-in is official! ?? Our Wellness Program recently hosted an open house for its new location in downtown Northampton. The move marks a major milestone for the program, providing clients with a larger space that is more centrally located. The Wellness Program provides individualized support in exercise, nutrition, and overall physical wellness for people receiving services at ServiceNet’s Greenfield or Northampton outpatient mental health clinics—both of which were recently recognized in the Best of the Valley Readers’ Poll. Led by Program Director Megan Reed, the Wellness team supports each participant in setting personalized goals and building lasting habits, all in a setting that prioritizes safety, stability, and self-advocacy. We’re thrilled to celebrate two incredible honorees from ServiceNet at the 20th Annual Community Celebration of Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Month, hosted by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Holyoke/Chicopee Area Office's Citizen Advisory Board. The Rooster Cafe team was recognized as Champions of Inclusivity for their dedication to creating an inclusive workplace and providing meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ServiceNet's Enrichment Center members came together recently for a fun and relaxing Paint-N-Sip event! Each participant had their own canvas, easel, and paint palette to bring their artistic visions to life. We paired the creativity with delicious treats, including sparkling cider, a beautiful charcuterie spread, fresh fruits, veggies, and hearty grinder sandwiches!
