Many thanks to the Nextracker Inc. and Louth Callan Renewables teams for their work on Leeds Solar!
Excited to share a new video showcasing the Leeds Solar Project in Maine, developed by Walden Renewables and constructed by Louth Callan Renewables. This 27 MW solar farm is now providing clean energy to local homes and businesses, demonstrating the viability of solar in higher latitudes with frost susceptible soils. The success of this project is attributed to the innovative NX Anchor? Blade Pile foundation solution paired with the NX Horizon smart solar tracker, addressing geotechnical challenges while enhancing installation speed and system performance. For developers encountering challenging siting conditions, the NX Anchor foundation system offers high uplift resistance, efficient installation, and cost optimization without unnecessary steel upsizing. By providing comprehensive support from geotechnical review to on-site operator training, we ensure a streamlined construction process that saves time, cuts costs, and guarantees success in demanding ground conditions. Beyond technological achievements, the Leeds Solar Project contributes significantly to the local community by generating economic benefits through lease payments, tax revenue, and job creation. This initiative, situated on Mayday Farm under Maine Farmland Trust’s program, created 90 jobs during construction and ongoing operational roles, bolstering the region's economy. A special thank you to our esteemed partners, Walden Renewables and Louth Callan Renewables, for their trust in Nextracker. We are privileged to collaborate with you in bringing this project to fruition. Explore our new video series featuring insights from key stakeholders on how NX Anchor is excelling in Maine’s challenging environments. #NXAnchor #Maine #solar #landingsolareverywhere Jack Kenworthy Kyzer Oliver Gardiola Nick Sylvestre Sol Hutson Keith Beisner Yazan Ajlani Ali Alsabe Bill Elwell Brandy Lee Kristan Kirsh Brian Pritchett
