As a B2B marketer, you're not just buying impressions—you’re investing in trust, relevance, and results. Your video campaigns need to do more than generate views; they need to reach real decision-makers, in quality environments, with measurable impact.

But in today’s fragmented digital ecosystem, not all impressions are created equal. Invalid traffic, poor placement, and low-quality inventory can quietly erode your ROI without you even knowing it. In fact, 57% of digital professionals agree that insufficient transparency into quality metrics will negatively impact media spend in the next 12 months.*

That’s why LinkedIn remains steadfast in its commitment to platform quality, transparency, and innovation.

Video views on LinkedIn are up 36% year-over-year, and video creation is growing 2x faster than any other format on LinkedIn, highlighting its importance as a powerful medium to reach and engage professional audiences. As marketers are bringing more video to LinkedIn, we’re doubling-down on our commitments to video ad quality and trust to ensure you are getting results that have a meaningful impact on your marketing goals.

Raising the Bar for Video Advertising

LinkedIn has made key advancements to ensure marketers can trust where their ad dollars land and measure real campaign success. Our recent updates cover three critical areas:

1. Global Accreditations: Committing to the Highest Standards

We don’t just talk about quality—we prove it. We’re proud to have earned accreditation from the Media Rating Council (MRC) which demonstrates LinkedIn’s adherence to rigorous industry standard measurement practices. We most recently received MRC accreditation for four video ad metrics on LinkedIn — gross impressions, net impressions, gross clicks, and net clicks — along with re-accreditation for the four display ad metrics we announced in 2023.

What does this mean for you?

MRC accreditation means that our ad metrics meet rigorous industry standards, providing data you can trust. You’ll see these metrics directly in Campaign Manager, empowering you to make informed, data-backed decisions.

These accreditations act as trust markers, and we continuously renew them to meet the most current standards. With LinkedIn, you can feel confident that every impression and click aligns with industry-best practices.

2. Independent Third-Party Verification: Confidence Through Transparency

Trust is earned, not claimed. That’s why we’ve partnered with the trusted names in media measurement to independently verify the media quality of video ads across our platform.

Our integrations support:

Here’s how third-party verification benefits you:

  • Always-on Transparency: These tools monitor video metrics such as viewability and invalid traffic, complementing our first-party metrics and help ensure that your campaigns meet high industry standards.
  • First-Party and Third-Party Synergy: Combining LinkedIn’s first-party reporting with independent third-party validation gives you a comprehensive and reliable view of your campaign performance.

With accountability baked into our ecosystem, you can scale your campaigns and allocate ad spend with confidence.

3. Innovative Integrations: Enhancing the Quality of the LinkedIn Audience Network

Invalid activity from sources, like bots and click farms, is a complex operation—layered, fast, and often invisible without the right technology. LinkedIn takes a full-funnel approach to address both general invalid traffic (GIVT) as well as sophisticated invalid traffic (SIVT) through first-party defenses and by partnering with third-party partners for their expertise, with partners detecting <1% of impressions as invalid traffic on LinkedIn, including CTV.**

We recently expanded our integration with HUMAN to include Ad Click Defense to complement our first-party click defense solutions and help verify that performance metrics on the LinkedIn Audience Network represent valid clicks. Today, this integration supports display formats, with video next on the roadmap.

Integrations, like this one with HUMAN, enhance our overall framework through independent post-bid validation, to provide advertisers both preventative protection and retrospective assurance.

Quality Advertising Starts with Platform Integrity

Foundational to maintaining a quality platform for members and customers alike are our Professional Community Policies which help ensure content on LinkedIn is safe, trustworthy, and professional. Our Transparency Report, which was recently released for the six month period between July 1 through December 31, 2024, details steps we’ve taken to detect and remove fake accounts, enforce our Professional Community Policies, and deliver a safer member experience.

Initiatives like this strengthen our overall platform integrity, providing a healthier platform and stronger advertising environment for you and your target audience.

Raising the Bar for the Industry, Together

In today’s complex media landscape, quality isn’t just a nice-to-have - it’s the foundation of effective marketing. For B2B brands investing in video advertising, where every impression is a step towards pipeline growth and brand credibility, the ability to rely on high-quality delivery and trusted performance metrics is essential to making informed, strategic decisions.

When we think about the future of video advertising, we think about quality as a multiplier. Not only does it protect your brand and your audience—it drives real results. And with the evolving landscape of privacy regulations, consumer expectations, and AI-driven media, the platforms that prioritize trust and quality will be the ones that win long term.

At LinkedIn, our mission is clear. We’re not just adapting to the changing world of digital advertising—we’re shaping it. Through continuous innovation, industry partnerships, and commitment to transparency, we’re creating a trusted ecosystem where marketers can thrive.
